MY BROTHER is an inner city New York story of two impoverished boys, one whom is developmentally disabled and the bond of love they have for each other. This bond, forged in their youth by their mother, and made under life's most desperate circumstances, is unwavering even in the face of adversity. In the present, one brother, trying to get free of oppressing debt, falls prey to ruthless men, setting into motion life-threatening events that test their greater-than-blood bond. This leads to a decision that only an epiphany, and courage, can overcome.

Martha Diaz is the founder, president, and visionary of the Hip-Hop Association. Diaz is a Colombian-American social entrepreneur,educator, organizer and filmmaker with over decade of media and marketing production experience.

*Maori Karmael Holmes* started her career as an intern for Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records while in high school. She attended college in Washington DC and worked as an urban marketing representative at Sony Music and as a freelance music writer and publicist before earning an MFA in Film from Temple University.

*Winsome Sinclair* is one of the most sought after Casting Directors on the East Coast and has collaborated with some of the most influential filmmakers in the world. She has worked on a myriad of noteworthy films with directors such as Steven Spielberg, Spike Lee, Ernest Dickerson, Christopher Reeve, John Singleton, Forrest Whitaker, Hype Williams and most recently adding Craig Brewer(of Hustle & Flow fame).
*LaJoyce Brookshire* Ask LaJoyce Brookshire who she is and quickly she'll tell you she's, "God's Girl!" As author of the novel, Soul Food, she is the first African American to novelize a major motion picture. She was chosen by HarperCollins Publishing to write the novelization from the movie's script on the strength of her first novel, a suspense drama titled Web of Deception.
*Akinah Rahmaan* Akinah began her career in entertainment as a booking agent at a boutique agency that specialized in booking urban talent worldwide. This eventually led to her position as a Marketing Director at Violator Management where she managed the day-to-day careers of artists such as Missy Elliott, LL Cool J, Tweet and Q-Tip.

Daphne Maxwell Reid is most widely recognized for her role as Aunt Viv on NBC's hit comedy, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She is also known for her role on the CBS comedy series Frank's Place in which she co-starred with her husband, Tim. She has also co-starred in movies of the week for NBC, CBS, and PBS, as well as the feature films, Protocol and Once Upon a Time ... When We Were Colored.
MARY ALICE SMITH
Veteran actress Mary Alice, grabbed a whole new generation of fans with her portrayal of the Oracle in the hugely-successful Matrix film series. Alice began her career more than 3 decades ago with a breakout role in the legendary film, The Education of Sonny Carson and has had memorable roles in films such as Sunshine State opposite Angela Bassett and the historic TV production the The Women of Brewster Place with Oprah Winfrey.
S. EPATHA MERKERSON
An Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winner, S. Epatha Merkerson has won critical acclaim for her brilliant work in theatre, television and film. Merkerson, currently in her 14th season on the perennial hit series Law and Order, recently received a 2006 NAACP Image Award for her portrayal of Lieutenant Anita Van Buren. Starring in the HBO film, Lackawanna Blues as Rachel (Nanny) Crosby Ms. Merkerson also garnered a 2006 NAACP Image Award, a Gracie Allen Award and an IFP Spirit nomination.
